Curiously, despite the fact that records of the U.S. rock groups in the 1960s were reaching the Philippines very quickly, I never learned of Joan Baez, Pete Seeger. I guess they were censored, not acceptable for brown teenaged audiences and consumers.
We got the records from the CIA and military brats like the bands from Laurel Canyon (The Byrds, The Doors, The Mothers of Invention, etc.), the Tavistock Beatles (Oh yeah!) and the great satanic band Led Zeppelin... We bought them hook, line and sinker.
