MY NOVEL IS FINISHED. GOING THROUGH FINAL CORRECTIONS.

 

                                               Begun January 2017 - Finished March 2026

                                                The closest thing to writing a book

                                                         is having a baby.

                                                           Being pregnant for years and years.

                                                                        No husband.

                                                                   You're walking across the Sahara.

Now I am deep in the novel again, rereading and correcting.

It's a whole new stage.

Very intense.

Though in a different way than writing.

I am reexperiencing my characters, I'm more distanced.

I can see lots of things I didn't see when I was creating them

                                                                 Finishing the writing

                                                                     Is a new beginning

Polish the rough diamond.

I feel immense pride, actually.

                                                                 I love my Baby.

                                                           Before too long, she will be

                                                                    shown to the world.

                                                             In swaddling clothes.

                                                                  If all goes well,

                                                                she will become 

                                                                    Your Baby

                                                                     even more.
