Creía que este blog ya no existía y me dio mucho contento encontrarlo de nuevo.  Me esperaba todo este tiempo. 

He empezado a crear videos, son muy básicos, lo principal es transmitir.  Acumulé mucha energía estudiando la historia colonial filipina estos pasados casi tres años.  Ha sido lo más difícil que haya hecho. Todavía me queda volver a estudiar El Progreso de Filipinas de Gregorio Sanciangco Goson.

He tomado miles de apuntes, y al concluir un ensayo o una monografía o un libro escribía un resumen. Y un nuevo resumen a modo de síntesis de todos los libros y trabajos estudiados.

No podía trabajar sin interrupciones.  Trabajé con muchas y constantes interrupciones, por la necesidad de ganar dinero.  Fue muy doloroso y frustrante. Muchas veces perdí el hilo y no quería volver a reconstruir mi línea de pensamiento que se había diluido. 

Pero el premio es que ahora entiendo la historia colonial de Hispanofilipinas, se me soltó la mano, ahora escribo en castellano con muchísimo más soltura y confianza.  Entiendo el lenguaje docto de los historiadores también mucho más aunque sigue siendo difícil según el autor.

Bueno, el trabajo no ha terminado, ahora a estudiar de nuevo la biografía de Rizal, leer algunos poesías, ensayos, la correspondencia.   Pero ya tengo el contexto histórico, económico, cultural y religioso.  Es un gran logro.

Then these videos, which I am compelled to do because I have _learned so much_ and I cannot stay silent, I'll get sick if I keep it in.  It takes too long to write everything and then hope a book will come out of it.  The short stories, fine.  But these understandings, insights, they need to be shared.  In both languages.  I want to be a Spanish teacher for my fellow Filipinos.  This is urgent.  It isn't a matter of vanity or affectation ... it's a moral question.  I see this now.  It is a moral act for Filipinos to bring back the affinity with the Spanish language that was uprooted from our psyche.  It is really an act of self-affirmation as a people.  If we do it, we will be helped.  A lot.  It must be done.  It is a moral and historical and social and cultural imperative, even an economic imperative.  If we recover Spanish we will begin to revalue our heritage. It's already happening. 

It's really quite a beautiful thing to be a part of this reawakening, this rebirth.  I understand completely that it has to do with quantum mechanics.  With the laws of intangible non-material reality, with the dimensions that cannot be perceived by material senses, that humans have violated and are beginning to understand this truth, and make reparation. 

Well, it's late, I must get some shuteye.  Goodnight.  I'm glad to be back!

Velvet flower

My next video will feature magnificent historical works unknown to the ordinary Filipinos today, only known to historians, that have not been translated into English.  I prepared selected excerpts that I translated way back in 2001.  In all:  70 pages of materials.
