Favorite Tree

this is the most beautiful of all trees in Santiago. It's name: Ponciano. (to see it up closer, click on the pic)
it looks like a ballet dancer's tutu, seemingly floats in the air. all frothy like tulle, studded with lovely yellow flowers with dark orange centers, and those ribbon-like fringes.
...but underneath the light, feminine elegance there are dark, torturous, intertwined branches...the gorgeous creature rises above an intricate, occult labyrinth. Her beauty is her suffering transformed, lotus flower rising out of the mud.
As the Buddhist monk who recently visited Chile, Claude Anshin Thomas, said: If it's not a paradox, it isn't true.
